"Betty" is a 2003 black mare by our stallion, War Black Ike and is a maternal grand daughter of the famed Frostys Tops. Frostys Tops belonged to Gilbert Reynolds and was an NFR qualifier and his offspring have earned over 3 million dollars in the PRCA. This mare is big, pretty and FAST. She is one of Todd's top head horses and we have been hauling her to jackpots since she was five years old. Riley uses her as a haze horse at PRCA rodeos. She is also very gentle for anyone to ride on the ranch or to brand calves on, etc. We are expecting a 2018 foal by our young stallion, Budhas King Fritz.
"Josie" is a 2003 sorrel mare that is double bred Colonel Freckles. She is Julie's retired heel horse and was hauled to jackpots since she was four years old. She was fast, athletic, cowy and had a really natural stop. She was fun to ride for any job on the ranch and we could put anyone on her from the very beginner to the more advanced rider. Anyone learning to rope in the branding pen got to ride "Josie". We are expecting a 2020 foal by our young stallion, Budhas King Fritz.
"Sweetie" is a 1994 sorrel mare that Todd raised. She has Doc Tom Tucker, Do Do Chick, Senor Driftwood, and Tonto Bars Hank all on her papers. She is a cat-like athlete with speed, quickness, and tons of cow. She was an outstanding all around horse. She was a wicked heel horse and ranch horse. Todd's boy, Riley, used her for heeling and calf roping in high school and college rodeo prior to her retirement to the brood mare band.
"Belle" is a 2003 buckskin/dun mare by Heza Lighting Ike (AQHA World Show Top 10 SR Heeling) and goes back to Frostys Tops on her bottom side. This mare is one of Todd's top head horses and is a tremendous athlete. Riley has been bull dogging on her since 2013. She is very quick and catty, yet she has the appearance of floating over the ground in everything that she does. She is extremely sure footed and can move through any terrain with remarkable agility and speed. We kept her 2012 red roan colt by "Budha" (see the "2012 foals" page). We are expecting a 2017 foal by War Black Ike.

"Grace" is a very classy 2007 buckskin mare by Especials Peppy Jay (AQHA World Show Qualifier in JR Working Cow Horse, SR Working Cow Horse and Reining). She has the AQHA Champions Especial, Doc Bar, Peppy San Badger, Colonel Freckles, and Bueno Chex all on her papers. We started her as a long 2 year old and she really went to work on the ranch as a 3 year old. She had hundreds of calves roped off of her in the branding pen her 3 & 4 year old years. Unfortunately she sustained a bad wire cut as a 5 year old and had to be retired to the brood mare band. She has been an outstanding producer for us every year. She is the total package: looks, athleticism, great cow, speed and good size. We are expecting a 2020 foal by our young stallion, Budhas King Fritz.
"Kate" is a flashy 2007 sorrel mare with flaxen mane and tail. She is by Big Bad n Busy (249.5 AQHA Performance points, World Show Qualifier in Heading, Heeling and Halter, AQHA Superior Heading and Heeling) and has many AQHA and NCHA Champions on her papers including Tuf n Busy, Bueno Chex, Doc O Lena, and Peppy San. "Kate" is very athletic and very cowy. We started Kate as a 2 year old and have used her extensively on the ranch since that time. She drug hundreds of calves to the fire as a 3 & 4 year old and is the number one pick to work the gate on. This mare can really move and watch a cow! She is Julie's number one heel horse and she is our go to for ranch rodeo competitions as well. We kept her 2013 and 2015 embryo fillies by Budha (see the "2013 Foals" page) and her 2016 embryo filly by War Black Ike. We are expecting a 2020 embryo by our young stallion, Budhas King Fritz.
"Rosie" is a 1993 sorrel mare that is a full sister to the dam of AQHA Super Horse, With All Probability. She is by Zan Parr Jack (AQHA World Champion JR Working Cow Horse, AQHA World Champion SR Heel horse, AQHA Superior Heading, Heeling and Calf Horse). She was bred and raised by John Miller (World Champion Team Roper) and she was his son, Trey's, high school and college rodeo horse. Tony Costa bought her from the Millers, and Les Oswald showed her for a short period of time until an injury forced her retirement. Her 5 year old colt by White Light Ike sold for $23,500.00 at the 2009 Will Gill and Sons Sale. We feel fortunate to have "Rosie" in our program and thank the Oswalds and Tony Costa's family for the opportunity to add her to our program.
"Holly" is a 1998 sorrel mare that is a grand daughter of Mr San Peppy (AQHA World Champion, 2 time NCHA Word Champion, and NCHA Hall of Famer). On the bottom side she goes back to AQHA Champion, Docs Hotrodder. "Holly" is a very classy mare and has a presence about her that always attracts people's attention. She is a very athletic and very cowy mare. We used her extensively for all aspects of ranch work, and she was always fun to ride for any job. Last fall, we needed a horse for Todd's daughter to brand calves on. We had not ridden "Holly" in 3 years, but we caught her out of the brood mare pasture, threw the saddle on her and she went to work, never missing a lick. Her colts have been very popular and well liked by their buyers. Holly is in foal to our young stallion, Budhas King Fritz for 2020.
Unfortunately, we lost "Dolly" to colic the spring of 2014."Dolly" was a 1993 blue roan mare with King Fritz (NRCHA Hall of Fame) and Holey Cal (Snaffle Bit Futurity Finalist) breeding. Tony Costa purchased this mare from Rick Machado at his sale, and we were fortunate to add her to our program when we aquired both her and "Rosie" from the Costa family. We kept her 2012 strawberry roan stud colt and he has been outstanding. He is kind, athletic, smart and willing. He is going to be very fancy!

We also use her on the ranch to brand calves, gather, etc. If you need to rope a cow or a bull, you can do it with confidence on this mare. We have kept a number of nice fillies out of this mare.
